Immerse Yourself in Tradition at the Edmont Summer Festival 2026
The prestigious Hotel Metropolitan Edmont, located in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, is set to host the
22nd Edmont Summer Festival on
July 28, 2026. This annual festival, aimed at fostering community interaction, celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year, having first commenced in 2000.
The venue will span the entire second floor of the hotel’s main banquet area, transformed into a vibrant hub for summer festivities. Guests are welcomed to join in the energetic Bon Odori dance, harmonized by the heartbeat of traditional taiko drums. For those new to the dance, there's no need to worry; a dedicated workshop led by expert instructors will offer guidance on how to participate, ensuring everyone can join in the fun.
Adding to the excitement will be live performances from the Kitamura Sisters, showcasing the Tsugaru Shamisen, alongside an illusion magic show by popular performer Tomuyamukun. Festival-goers can also indulge in nostalgic festival games and savor an array of delightful street food options, including local products from the Aizu region of Fukushima. The experience is rounded off with a raffle where attendees can win fabulous prizes, such as hotel accommodation vouchers and dining certificates.
This lively event allows participants to enjoy the charm of a traditional Japanese summer festival while finding respite in the cool, comfortable ambiance of the hotel’s interior, free from worries about the weather.
