Insight Global's 2025 Employee Sentiment Report Calls for Enhanced Workplace Culture and Onboarding
In a world where employee engagement is dwindling, Insight Global has come forth with a revealing 2025 Employee Sentiment Report, shedding light on the urgent need for better onboarding processes and workplace culture. Conducted by Atomik Research, the study surveyed over 900 American workers across various sectors, including technology, finance, engineering, and consulting, and unearthed some sobering statistics. The report indicates a mere 35% of employees feel engaged at their jobs, with the same percentage feeling vital within their roles. Jessica Calzaretta, President of Insight Global, remarked, 'These numbers serve as a wake-up call. When employees lack a sense of connection or value, both productivity and retention tend to plummet.' However, there is a silver lining: organizations can implement changes to enhance engagement, starting with effective onboarding and employee support.
Key highlights from the report underline that 80% of surveyed workers believe that improved onboarding could increase their tenure in a role. Furthermore, a shocking 22% admitted to leaving a job within the first 90 days due to inadequate training. The findings also reveal that employees who find themselves in a positive workplace culture are eight times more likely to feel engaged, and it typically takes 6-7 months for new hires to feel truly settled.
But what can employers do to turn these trends around? The report outlines practical strategies such as personalized onboarding programs for specific roles, developing a meaningful culture within the workplace, and ensuring that daily tasks resonate with a larger mission or objective. Brindy Pickett, Vice President of Consultant Engagement at Insight Global, emphasizes, 'A defined culture is essential. It's not just beneficial; it is a fundamental driver of engagement, retention, and performance.'
The report serves as a roadmap, outlining actionable insights that can aid businesses in fostering stronger teams and resilient cultures. Insight Global advocates a 'people-first' mindset, a commitment to support companies in nurturing their teams effectively, ultimately leading to enhanced customer satisfaction.
For those keen to delve deeper into the findings and the recommendations outlined, the full 2025 Employee Sentiment Report is available for review. This study not only presents data but also offers a vision for companies struggling with retention and engagement, reminding them that the solutions might start with how they treat their most valuable asset—their people.
