Whiskey House of Kentucky Enhances Growth Strategy with New Credit Agreement Amendment

Whiskey House of Kentucky Enhances Growth Strategy

Whiskey House of Kentucky, acclaimed as the country's most advanced custom whiskey distillery, has recently announced a significant amendment to its existing credit agreement. This move comes as a strategic initiative to fuel the distillery's continued growth and enhance its capacity to meet the evolving needs of its clientele.

Additional Capital and Flexibility

The amendment, which includes a syndicate of banks with Truist Bank acting as the administrative agent, alongside U.S. Bank, First Horizon Bank, Rabobank, and CoBank, aims to provide additional capital. This influx is set to facilitate a more flexible approach to sourcing funds, ultimately boosting Whiskey House's operational capabilities. With the new capital, the company plans to expand its value-added services, specifically focusing on storage and aging solutions for whiskey, catering directly to customer needs.

Despite this transformative change, all key terms of the previously established credit agreement—such as pricing and amortization schedules—remain intact, ensuring stability as the firm moves forward.

Partnership with the Koetter Group

This announcement follows a recent long-term partnership with the Koetter Group, which will see the construction of 12 state-of-the-art rickhouses over the next six years. This expansion will significantly increase the distillery’s barrel storage capacity, addressing a crucial element of whiskey production that directly correlates with meeting the demands of advanced whiskey brands.

David Mandell, co-founder and CEO of Whiskey House, stated, "As the industry works to recover from the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Whiskey House continues to grow its customer base, now including some of the finest names in the spirits sector. We are incredibly grateful for our banking partners' ongoing support as we pursue our ambition to lead the custom whiskey production arena."

A Transformative Presence in the Industry

The recent developments signal a bolstered position for Whiskey House within the contract whiskey manufacturing sphere. Since beginning operations on July 1, 2024, the distillery has achieved remarkable production numbers—more than 97,000 barrels, 56 unique mashbills, and 59 distinct recipes tailored specifically for its exclusive clients.

Spanning 110,000 square feet, the facility is designed with cutting-edge technology that automates the manufacturing process round the clock, ensuring high-quality production standards. By adopting advanced food manufacturing practices alongside whiskey distillation methodologies, Whiskey House is committed to delivering unparalleled quality and flexibility in custom whiskey production.

A Focus on Client Relationships

What sets Whiskey House apart is its strategic decision to operate without proprietary brands, thereby eliminating any conflicts of interest with its clients, who are often leading brands in the spirits industry. The team remains dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and innovative liquid design for its exclusive customers, ensuring that every bottle made is a testament to craftsmanship and quality.
