Huasun Energy's Five-Year Journey in Solar Innovation



On July 21, 2025, Huasun Energy celebrates its fifth anniversary, marking a significant achievement in the evolving landscape of solar energy. From its humble beginnings as an ambitious startup, Huasun has rapidly ascended to become a leading global manufacturer of high-efficiency heterojunction solar products, showcasing innovation and strategic growth.

Huasun was founded in 2020, stepping into a saturated market dominated by PERC technology. Recognizing the untapped potential of heterojunction technology (HJT), the company focused on harnessing its advantages to spearhead a new era in solar energy. According to Jimmy Xu, the President of Huasun, "From the outset, I believed that HJT would lead the new energy revolution. It provides the high efficiency, low degradation, and application flexibility the world needs for sustainable energy."

Manufacturing Excellence



In just five years, Huasun has established five production facilities located in Xuancheng, Hefei, Wuxi, Dali, and Yinchuan across China. This strategic expansion has enabled the company to reach an impressive production capacity of 20 GW. Huasun's fully integrated supply chain spans from silicon ingots to complete solar modules, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

To date, Huasun has delivered over 13 GW of its HJT solar products to more than 80 countries and regions worldwide, showcasing its commitment to global sustainability. The company's product line is designed to cater to various market demands and environmental conditions, further solidifying its position as a market leader.

Product Innovations



Huasun has introduced several product lines, including the Himalaya, Everest, and Kunlun series, each engineered for specific applications. Among these, the Himalaya G12-132 module stands out, boasting a world-record power output of 768.9 W and a deliverable output of up to 730 W, with a module efficiency rating of 23.5%. These modules have been successfully deployed in large-scale solar projects operating in extreme conditions, including marine and desert environments.

Featuring advanced encapsulation technology using EVA, light conversion films, butyl adhesives, and glass-glass designs, the Himalaya modules guarantee exceptional durability and long-term reliability.

The new Kunlun series, with its nearly 100% bifaciality, is specifically tailored for vertical photovoltaic applications. This product line translates well into diverse scenarios such as agricultural land, transport corridors, and building facades. In collaboration with industry leaders like Next2Sun AG, Huasun is working on nearly 100 MW of vertical photovoltaic projects, aimed at reducing snow and dust accumulation while maximizing reflected light capture and minimizing land disruption.

Future Prospects



As it enters its fifth year, Huasun has initiated a 100 MW pilot line for HJT perovskite tandem cells, targeting the launch of a next-generation module exceeding 800 W with a stellar 25.75% efficiency by the end of 2026. Driven by scientific innovation and sustainable practices, Huasun remains at the forefront of solar advancement, delivering high-performance, accessible solutions to propel a cleaner, greener world.
