Experience the Stunning Autumn Festival and Night Walk at Showa Kinen Park 2025

Celebrate Autumn at Showa Kinen Park 2025

From October 30 to November 30, 2025, Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa and Akishima, Tokyo, will host the much-anticipated Autumn Foliage Festival and Night Walk. This event invites visitors to witness the mesmerizing transformation of trees in hues of gold and red, experiencing the different atmospheres presented both during the day and at night.

Discover the Beauty of Autumn Foliage

During the festival, several must-see spots within the park will showcase the autumn foliage, including:
  • - Canal Ginkgo Promenade: A stunning memento where the ginkgo trees reflect beautifully on the water's surface.
  • - Katarai Ginkgo Alley: Walk through a breathtaking 300-meter tunnel of gold, an absolute highlight of the park.
  • - Japanese Garden: Experience the serene Japanese garden that brings a unique charm with its landscape and foliage.

Moreover, you can explore various other areas throughout the park, such as Waterfowl Pond, Flower Tree Garden, and Children's Forest, where an array of ginkgo, maple, metasequoia, platane, and zelkova trees will add vibrant touches to your visit.

After the festival concludes, the autumn foliage will still be available for viewing until mid-December. A hidden gem to discover is the Komorebi Hill, where stunning landscapes with oak and maple trees can be enjoyed, making it a worthwhile spot even after the main event ends.

Enchanting Night Walk

Alongside the colorful autumn foliage, the Night Walk will illuminate the park and is set to attract around 200,000 visitors, just like last year. In its sixth edition this year, the event will feature previously popular venues like the Katarai Ginkgo Alley, Japanese Garden, and the newly added Canal area.

As the evening approaches, areas such as Katarai Ginkgo Alley and Canal will transition into magical places bathed in golden light, providing a captivating contrast to the daytime sights. In the Japanese Garden, the autumn leaves and pines illuminated by the lights will reflect dramatically on the water's surface.

Additionally, the Bonsai Garden will continue the trend of captivating visitors with mesmerizing light displays, adding an exciting element to the event.
