Hollyland Explores Creativity in the Age of AI at WeConnect 2026

On September 24, 2026, Hollyland hosted an inspiring event called WeConnect 2026, inviting creators from over 30 countries to discuss an essential question of our time: what elements of human creativity remain irreplaceable in the evolving landscape shaped by artificial intelligence (AI)? As a leading provider of wireless solutions for audio and video transmission, Hollyland leveraged this platform to foster discussions around the intersection of technology and authentic creative expression.

The Heart of the Event

Before diving into the intricacies of creativity in the digital age, WeConnect 2026 aimed to reconnect creators with genuine human expression. Hollyland's initiative, dubbed “WE HEAR,” ignited a global discourse o AI's role, authenticity, and storytelling. Simultaneously, “The Echo” campaign encouraged participants to share unfiltered sounds, thoughts, and emotions from their daily lives, aiming to capture the essence of experiences that often go unacknowledged in polished content.

To extend this dialogue beyond digital realms, initiatives like “WE PARK” and “WE PARTY” invited spontaneous public participation. In cities like New Delhi, São Paulo, Cairo, and Mexico City, over 550 creators engaged in community events, focusing less on tools and more on the exchange of personal experiences and creative challenges.

Immersive Experiences

Hollyland arranged two remarkable experiential journeys built on transitioning from a tech-dominated perspective to one rooted in tangible exploration. Twenty-seven creators from the Asia-Pacific region traveled from Jakarta to Bali for an immersive exploration of their senses. Under the “WE CONNECT SEA” campaign, participants engaged with local culture, featuring a mesmerizing Kecak dance performance at sunset, culinary workshops, and tasting the unique kopi luwak coffee, stimulating their sensory experiences.

Rather than simply capturing content for consumption, the event encouraged participants to pause and truly engage with their surroundings. What emerged from this were authentic collaborative creative efforts. Divided into six teams, the creators transformed their observations into 90-second short films that incorporated elements of human interest, lifestyle vlogging, and narrative cinema, engaging multiple sensory dimensions.

Their journey continued in Yunnan, China, where 24 creators engaged in a cross-cultural creative experiment. Working in multinational teams, they immersed themselves in local traditions, crafts, and community-centered culinary experiences. This experience prompted them to rediscover the fundamental sensory experiences that often initiate original ideas across sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.

In Shenzhen, the DAMODA team showcased a spectacular drone light show that illuminated the night sky, reflecting the visual identity of Hollyland's WeConnect 2026. Creators visited Hollyland's headquarters, explored the latest innovations, and engaged in in-depth dialogues with the research and development team, creating an experience beyond mere product demonstrations. This gathering emphasized Hollyland's commitment to listening to creators' needs and supporting their artistic expressions.

Diverse Perspectives on Shared Stories

Despite working in identical locations and utilizing similar tools, creators produced distinctly different narratives. While some focused on soundscapes, others documented traditional crafts and food, delving into daily life and cultural heritage. Each creative voice offered a unique lens through which Yunnan's streets, traditions, and landscapes told completely different stories depending on the creator behind the camera. Ultimately, these works will be recognized across various creative categories, showcasing the diverse expressions that may stem from shared experiences.

Commitment Beyond Technology

“Hollyland truly understands what creators need; it’s not just about creating products but understanding how we work and create in real life,” remarked Yuki Eyok, a creator from Malaysia. As AI continues to transform content creation, Hollyland believes technology should enhance—not replace—the genuine experiences of the real world. Through continuous product innovation and investments in its community, Hollyland strives to be a trusted partner for creators globally, empowering them to turn authentic experiences into meaningful stories.
