Toyo University Cheerleading Club Launches Crowdfunding

Toyo University's Cheerleading Club has officially announced that they will be launching a crowdfunding campaign titled "Give Us Your Support for Our Full-Powered Cheer!" through Spportunity, starting on August 15 at 18:00. This initiative aims to gather support from the community to enhance their performance capabilities and to ensure a vibrant atmosphere during sports events.

Background of the Crowdfunding Initiative and Our Aspirations

As part of our goals for this fiscal year, we dedicated ourselves to promoting celebration, courage, and victory through cheerleading. Representing the university, our three divisions — Leaders, Cheerleaders, and Musicians — have worked together, leveraging each other's strengths for harmonious cheering.

However, we have faced significant challenges in recent years due to a decline in club membership and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. At one point, we were nearly reduced to just 10 members across all divisions. Thankfully, former members have helped sustain our traditions, and this year, we welcomed an enthusiastic wave of new members wanting to cheer! This includes 4 in the Leaders Division, 21 in the Cheerleaders Division, and 8 in the Musicians Division, culminating in an impressive total of 71 members — our largest group ever!

While we celebrate this growth, we also face a pressing issue: our equipment is insufficient for the expanded group. To achieve a high-quality performance, we need funding for essential items including:

• - Leaders' uniforms: To carry on our traditions.
• - Cheerleading uniforms: To highlight our vibrant routines.
• - Musical instruments: To embellish our cheers.

Without these, we won’t be able to deliver the best performances possible. To continue sending powerful cheers to our athletes, your support is crucial now more than ever. We sincerely ask for your full-powered backing and support!

3. Funding Goal: 1 million yen

4. Fund Utilization: All contributions will go towards enhancing our club’s performance. The detailed allocation includes:
- Leaders Division: Purchase of new uniforms, jackets, and cleaning.
- Cheerleaders Division: New uniforms, pom-poms, and TOYO boards.
- Musicians Division: New percussion instruments, drum sets, and saxophones.

5. Recommended Rewards: As a token of gratitude, members of the Cheerleading Club will offer a live performance to supporting corporations within close proximity to our campuses.
- Eligible organizations must be located near Toyo University and have sufficient space for a performance.

6. Social Media Initiative: On the day of project launch, we will hold a social media blitz on August 15 from 18:00 to 21:00, encouraging supporters to post and spread the word about the crowdfunding.
