Opening Remarks

The reception commenced with opening remarks from the management team, emphasizing the importance of fostering connection among members in a fully remote work environment. During the event, attendees were introduced to online community rooms known as the ‘同期会’ (Synchronization Room), where members can engage in casual conversations and professional discussions alike.

Messages from the CEO

Kaito Akizawa, the CEO of Knit Inc., shared an inspirational message aimed at the new joiners. Emphasizing HELP YOU’s mission of creating a society where individuals can choose their future, he articulated that personal agency in deciding when and how to work is essential for enhancing life quality. He acknowledged the rapid advancements in AI and technology but stressed that the human element remains crucial to HELP YOU’s services.

Akizawa encouraged the newcomers to embrace challenges without fear of failure while continuously providing value to clients. His encouraging words served to motivate the new recruits, reinforcing the collaborative spirit at HELP YOU.

Group Photo and Interaction

Next came the much-anticipated group photo, where participants struck poses—some favorite, others quirky—capturing smiles and camaraderie among the team. After breaking the ice, attendees moved into breakout rooms to engage in small group workshops.

Self-Introduction and Workshop

In groups of three to four, each participant introduced themselves, sharing their names, locations, and tidbits that made them unique. This facilitated deeper connections among members who might normally not interact. Following the introductions, participants engaged in workshops focusing on finding sustainable and joyful working methods.

Questions posed included reflections on how individuals could maintain their well-being while working. Participants shared insights via Google Slides and discussed how they wish to contribute to HELP YOU’s mission.

Grappling with the concept of work is integral for happiness. The workshop granted insightful moments, reinforcing the idea that creating a fulfilling work-life leads not only to personal happiness but contributes positively to the wider community.

Voices from Participants

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive: newcomers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with peers they seldom meet face-to-face. Many remarked on the importance of building relationships, particularly in a freelance context.

Commitment to Freelancing

HELP YOU’s commitment goes beyond facilitating remote work; it embodies a vision of inclusivity for those unable to work traditionally due to various reasons, such as caregiving responsibilities. The model not only addresses the talent needs of companies but also nurtures a supportive online community where members do not feel isolated.

Regular events like the welcome reception are pivotal in upholding this sense of community among freelancers. As the company continues its mission, it finds innovative ways to foster connections, combating solitude in the remote work environment.
