418th Yokohama Regular Concert
On June 27, 2026, the orchestra will perform at the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, featuring the talented violinist Boha Moon. He replaces Boris Belkin, who, alongside conductor Hirokami, highly recommended Moon for this special occasion. Boha Moon recently garnered recognition by securing second place in the violin category at the prestigious Sendai International Music Competition in 2025, rapidly earning acclaim in the global music scene.

782nd Tokyo Regular Concert
Following the Yokohama concert, the Japan Philharmonic will hold its 782nd regular concert on July 10 and 11, 2026, at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. This performance will highlight renowned violinist Akiko Suwanai and the acclaimed oboist and conductor Francois Leleux.
This marks the trio's third collaboration with the maestro, emphasizing a distinctive exploration of Beethoven's Violin Concerto, which will be performed for the first time in seventeen years at this venue. The latter half of the program will feature Prokofiev's powerful Symphony No. 5, composed hastily during WWII, showcasing a blend of contemporary sounds and folk-inspired melodies, delivered with Leleux's signature finesse and vibrant interpretation.
