The much-anticipated GiGO EXPO 2026 is back, promising a weekend filled with exhilarating entertainment and vibrant activities in Akihabara. Hosted by GENDA GiGO Entertainment, this event is set to take place on June 20th and 21st, 2026, at the prestigious Bellesalle Akihabara.
As Japan's gaming landscape evolves, GiGO has remained at the forefront, operating around 420 amusement facilities throughout the country. The upcoming expo aims to reflect current entertainment trends and customer desires, offering a unique blend of gaming, music, dance, and interactive experiences. Meanwhile, the newly expanded basement floor (B1F), covering around 179 tsubo, will host stages accessible through a lottery reservation system, some of which may require a fee.
Participants can look forward to a wide range of activities, including engaging live shows, VR experiences, and even poker games. Attendees will have the chance to experience special circumstances that can only be savored live at the expo. One of the highlights of the expo is the introduction of eight stage programs, five of which are now available for advance lottery reservations. Detailed information about the remaining three stages will be disclosed in the second announcement scheduled for May 28, 2026. Key performances include special talk shows featuring the cast of the popular anime 'Ramen Akane Cat,' a talk show with the virtual band 'Mugen Dai Myutaipu,' various live performances, and much more.
