A Colorful Festival of Light and Flowers
From February 27 to March 15, 2026, Kiba Park in Tokyo will host a dazzling event celebrating the arrival of spring, titled
"A Path of Wind and Light: Flowers Dancing in Early Spring Glow." Organized by Hibiya Kadan Co., Ltd., this initiative is part of the
"Flowers and Light Movement" undertaken by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The festival aims to enrich the public's experience of the park through the seasonal display of flowers and lights, creating a vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Immersive Experience of Nature's Beauty
Nestled on a site once used for lumber storage, Kiba Park is a lush green space abundant with water and flora. The main themes of the festival are inspired by the significance of
"wind" in the lumber industry and
"the light of the lanterns" that guided boats along the waterways. Festival-goers are invited to savor not only the bright blooms of early spring but also the historical and cultural ambiance that the light displays evoke. As the sun sets, the park transforms into a magical realm, with flickering lights reminiscent of boat lanterns illuminating the pathways.
