Texas Realtors Honor Sarah Norman as 2025 Realtor of the Year
AUSTIN, Texas — In a notable celebration during the Texas Realtors Winter Meeting, Sarah Norman from the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors was named the 2025 Texas Realtor of the Year. This prestigious recognition not only reflects her impressive career but also her impactful contributions to the real estate industry and her local community.
Norman's real estate journey commenced in 1977, and over the course of four decades, she has made substantial positive contributions to the Realtor organization and the wider community. “Each year, the Texas Realtor of the Year award acknowledges an individual embodying integrity, dedication, and service to the profession and to the public,” noted Jennifer Wauhob, chairman of Texas Realtors for 2026. Sarah's commitment to these values has not only bolstered the Realtor community across Texas but also had a significant influence in her local area.
After initially working at Texas A&M University, Norman pivoted to real estate, keen on a career that allows her initiative and efforts to directly influence outcomes. Her first five years were spent learning from Bonnie Hoggard before venturing out to establish her own office, marking the beginning of her long and fruitful career.
Norman's leadership has been unmistakable at every level within the Realtor organization. Her involvement includes various committees at local, state, and national levels, such as the National Association of Realtors’ focus on professional standards and public policy. Among her many accolades, she is a former federal political coordinator and serves on the Texas Realtors Board of Directors. Moreover, her election into the RPAC Hall of Fame in 2023 solidifies her influential presence in the real estate realm.
This award adds to her already remarkable list of achievements, having previously been named Bryan-College Station Realtor of the Year on two occasions and honored with the Spirit of TREPAC Award as well as the Texas Realtors Distinguished Service Award in 2007. For over twenty years, Norman has been a regular at state and national Realtor conferences and has conducted numerous educational classes, thereby enhancing professional standards and support programs within the industry.
In her own words, Norman expressed, “The Realtor profession has shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined. Serving others and leaving things better than I found them has always guided my work.” Her gratitude extends to the relationships built along the way, nurturing future generations through mentorship and giving back to a profession that has granted her countless opportunities.
Norman's contributions extend well beyond real estate. She actively engages with the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce and is involved in initiatives for community redevelopment. In addition, her support for Kemp-Carver Elementary School and commitment to teaching Sunday school for 25 years highlight her unwavering dedication to local endeavors. As a lifelong resident of Bryan, she remains passionate about preserving and enhancing the community for generations to come. She shares her life with her husband, George, and is a proud mother and grandmother.
