National Pest Management Association Launches Pest in Class Sweepstakes
As the school year kicks off, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is excited to announce the launch of the Pest in Class Sweepstakes. This initiative aims to celebrate the return to classrooms by rewarding educators who creatively incorporate pest education into their lessons.
Details of the Sweepstake
The sweepstakes will run until October 15, 2026. Teachers wishing to participate can easily enter by visiting
PestWorldForKids.org/Sweepstakes, where they’ll need to provide their contact information, school details, and a short description of how they utilize the resources from PestWorld For Kids in their educational activities.
One grand prize winner will be granted an exclusive classroom visit from a board-certified entomologist, presenting a unique opportunity for students to engage directly with an expert in the field. This visit will be accompanied by a fantastic prize pack filled with pest-themed educational materials, including activities, games, posters, and stickers. Notably, four additional runners-up will also receive similar prize packs, making this a rewarding chance for several classrooms.
Encouraging Educational Engagement
Jim Fredericks, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at NPMA, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We love seeing students interested in learning about pests, whether it’s the different species, their appearances, habitats, or behaviors. We're thrilled to provide this knowledge firsthand to a classroom that shares our enthusiasm for all things pests through this sweepstakes."
The PestWorld For Kids platform offers a plethora of resources tailored for teachers, students, and parents to actively learn about various critters. With engaging lesson plans, interactive games, and informative pest guides, it equips educators with the tools needed to make pest education both fun and informative.
