Jackery Shines at Climate Week NYC: A Step Towards Global Sustainability

Jackery Shines a Light on Sustainability at Climate Week NYC 2025

Climate Week NYC 2025 commenced on September 21, marking a pivotal moment for global climate action as it transitioned from ambitious goals to palpable actions. This year's theme, "SEE The Future," was co-hosted by various esteemed organizations and brought together leaders from diverse sectors to foster practical collaboration in sustainable development.

One of the key highlights was Jackery's impactful participation, which showcased their innovative approach in promoting renewable energy solutions amidst pressing ecological challenges. Joined by influential figures such as Ahmed El Saeed from the U.N. Global Pulse and Professor Christoph Johannes Meinrenken from Columbia University's Climate School, Jackery's discussion revolved around two essential questions: the role of green energy in ecological conservation, and strategies to forge lasting alliances for achieving sustainability.

Tracy Wang, Jackery's Global Head of Brand and Public Relations, emphasized, “Green energy should not merely encompass products; it must also embrace the infrastructure supporting climate response and ecological protection.” This perspective underscores the essence of corporate responsibility in addressing climate-related issues.

Ecological Conservation and Emergency Response

Jackery illustrated the tangible results of its collaborations, particularly with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Together, they provided solar-powered portable stations that support mobile medical vehicles in ecological crisis areas, ensuring not just continued medical aid but significantly reducing carbon emissions during operations.

Furthermore, in China's Hoh Xil region, Jackery's partnership with local ecological organizations delivered essential, clean energy to frontline rangers working under challenging conditions. Their response to natural disasters, such as hurricanes and earthquakes, highlights the company's commitment to providing emergency power solutions swiftly, thereby restoring vital services for affected communities.

Advancing Collaborative Partnerships

Jackery's approach underpins the belief that real change stems from collaborative efforts, moving beyond mere donations. Wang discussed Jackery’s alliances with NGOs, including WWF and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), which have resulted in shared benefits recognized through various sustainability awards such as the SEAL Awards for three consecutive years.

By working closely with its supply chain partners, Jackery has effectively integrated low-carbon practices throughout its operations. This has seen the establishment of a Green Factory and the initiation of a Zero-Carbon Laboratory, both powered by a solar-storage microgrid, demonstrating a commitment to reducing emissions right from the generation to the use of energy.

In addition, 18 of Jackery's products have achieved carbon footprint verification from TÜV SÜD, allowing full life-cycle tracking and facilitating improvements that lower embedded carbon. Since June 2025, it is estimated that Jackery’s solar panels have helped users worldwide save about 1.25 billion kWh and prevent approximately 1.243 million tons of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere, a considerable contribution to the global low-carbon transition.

Bridging the Gap from Promises to Reality

As climate governance dynamics shift from planning to implementation, Jackery advocates for partnerships that can transform environmental philanthropy into sustainable systems beneficial for all. Wang remarked, “'Power On' signifies a shift from catchy slogans to essential systems.” Thus, Jackery is inviting partners from the public, philanthropic, and private sectors to collaborate in order to scale clean power solutions in critical areas.

Jackery believes that addressing real-world challenges requires more action-oriented companies ready to engage in practical solutions. Only through these direct efforts can a vision for a low-carbon future evolve and lead to substantial progress in global sustainability efforts.
