Celebrating Tokyo’s Young Designers at the Upcoming Paris Fashion Show
Tokyo is gearing up to showcase its brightest young fashion talents during a special fashion show in Paris, scheduled for January 25, 2026, at the renowned Palais de Tokyo. This event marks a significant milestone in the journey of the participants of two prestigious competitions: the
Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo (NFDT) and the
Sustainable Fashion Design Award (SFDA). This initiative aims to elevate Tokyo's status as a global fashion hub alongside cities like Paris, Milan, New York, and London.
The 2023 award winners have dedicated approximately six months of preparation in anticipation of this event. Thirteen teams, comprising fourteen young designers, will present a total of
75 unique looks celebrating their creativity and showcasing their potential on an international platform. Under the guidance of
Kuni Hiko Morinaga, a celebrated designer and president of
ANREALAGE, the show promises to be an amalgamation of innovative artistry and craftsmanship, featuring talent from various industry professionals for show direction, hair, and makeup.
On the day of the event, roughly
350 industry insiders, including press and buyers, will be in attendance to witness this inspiring presentation of emerging talent. Designers have crafted their works with originality in mind, focusing on sustainable practices and innovative designs that reflect their unique visions and identities.
