Tech Talent Summit 6.0 to Host 40+ Experts and Employers in Phoenix

Upcoming Tech Talent Summit 6.0 in Phoenix

On November 6, 2026, the sixth installment of the Tech Talent Summit will take place in downtown Phoenix, organized by Freeway, a platform that connects Arizona's founders, investors, and companies. This one-day event promises to gather over 40 speakers, innovators, and employers under the banner of this year’s theme, The Performance Economy. The summit aims to explore how teams can effectively build, hire, scale, and lead in this age dominated by artificial intelligence (AI).

Over the last three years, the Tech Talent Summit has attracted more than 3,500 attendees, with a high satisfaction rating of 9.1 out of 10. The previous event in spring was a part of Arizona Tech Week, which showcased about 600 participants. This upcoming gathering is expected to be even more impactful with its lineup of speakers.

The event will feature notable figures including Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Sandra Watson, CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, who will both kick off the day’s activities. Additionally, a keynote session will include a candid conversation with Anita Verma-Lallian, the CEO of Arizona Land Consulting, renowned for closing over $1.5 billion in real estate deals linked to the boom in AI data centers in the region. Participants will gain insights into why Arizona is rapidly becoming a hub for AI development. The summit will also include a virtual participation from Chamath Palihapitiya, co-founder of Social Capital, who will discuss investing opportunities in Arizona.

The event aims to foster an environment where pressing questions can be addressed. Daniela Santangelo, the founder of Freeway, stated, “Every founder I talk to is asking the same questions right now. When do you hire a person, and when do you bring in a tool? What actually changes on a team when AI shows up? Almost nobody is talking about it honestly.” That conversation is exactly what the organizers aim to facilitate at the summit.

Panels scheduled throughout the day will delve into various themes including AI impact, hiring challenges, and the evolving organizational structure in the context of AI integration. Experts from various domains like talent acquisition, AI-driven technologies, and startup strategies will share their insights and experiences. Key participants include talent experts from companies such as terramtech, Side, Trainual, WebPT, and Bundle x Joy.

In the afternoon, a unique Talent Match activity will allow selected job seekers to engage directly with employers in fast-paced face-to-face rounds. This initiative is designed to bridge connections and foster relationships that can lead to job offers. Santangelo emphasizes, “If you're hiring, we want you there. If you're not hiring yet, you have an even better reason to come. The best hires start as relationships.”

The summit is supported by several local organizations and companies, reinforcing the collaborative ethos in fostering Arizona's tech ecosystem. The participant cities include Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa, signifying a collective effort in promoting the region's innovative landscape.
