Exciting Family Event at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower: Kids' Running Challenge is Here!

Join the Fun at the Kids' Running Challenge in Kabukicho

As part of the thrilling Golden Week festivities, the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku is set to host a unique event aimed at children on May 2, 2026. Dubbed the "Running Attack in Kabukicho Shinchitai Square," this engaging affair invites kids to explore their love for running under the guidance of expert instructors. Together with the Kabukicho Town Management Association and the Kabukicho Shopping Street Promotion Association, the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower showcases a powerful commitment to fostering enjoyment and passion among the younger generation.

An Unmissable Running Challenge!

The Running Attack is no ordinary race; it’s an interactive running class tailored especially for children. Led by professionals, the program delivers essential techniques and tips on how to run effectively, filling kids with excitement about the activity. Unlike traditional physical education courses, participants will learn these skills in a relatable way, ensuring they enjoy every moment.

Notably, this event introduces an exhilarating dynamic by incorporating a DJ to heighten the event's energy level. The rhythmic beats will accompany the children as they dash through the course, promising a memorable experience unlike any other.

Spectacular Koi Decorations

In conjunction with the Running Attack, attendees will get to witness a stunning display of 109 koi flags lining the front of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, with installation running from April 30 to May 5, 2026. Each koi has been designed with colorful kabuki-style makeup, reflecting the rich cultural heritage attached to the area, just in time for the Theatre MILANO-Za's latest performance, "Kabukicho Grand Kabuki," which premieres in May.
