Vantage Foundation Spreads Hope and Joy at SOS Children's Villages in the Philippines

In a remarkable display of community spirit, volunteers from the Vantage Foundation gathered for a day of giving and connectivity at SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines. This initiative not only involved making donations but also creating enriching experiences filled with laughter and encouragement for the children, leaving lasting memories.

The Vantage Foundation focused its efforts on supporting the eight homes within the village, providing essential food supplies and necessary items where caregivers nurture groups of 8 to 10 children. Additionally, Vantage-branded notebooks and pens were distributed to foster education and creativity among the youths.

The event began with an orientation session, where volunteers were educated about the program structure and the activities planned for the day. Upon their arrival at the village, they were welcomed by the warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm of the children, setting the stage for a day filled with joy, learning, and constructive interactions.

Activities were thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of various age groups, encouraging personal expression, creativity, and teamwork. Children aged 3 to 7 participated in introductory games, expressing themselves through drawing. A building challenge was organized for children ages 8 to 12 to stimulate their imagination and collaborative spirit. Furthermore, a community problem-solving workshop catered to older children, ages 13 to 19, prompting them to identify challenges within their environment and propose innovative solutions. These activities served as opportunities for children to dream, collaborate, and express themselves in a safe, nurturing space.

After the activities, the children reconvened with volunteers for a shared lunch, exchanging stories and strengthening bonds over a warm meal. The event concluded with a gift distribution, ensuring that each child returned home with a meaningful reminder of their shared experience.

At the closing ceremony, Alex, the Country Manager, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines, highlighting the significant impact of the Vantage Foundation's support. He stated, “The Vantage team is committed to empowering future generations. Through our support and collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines, we strive to provide these children with essential tools and experiences to develop their skills, pursue their dreams, and access new opportunities. Together we can help them forge a better future and break the cycle of poverty through knowledge and financial independence.”

Ivy Evangelista, SOS Children’s Villages' philanthropy and partnership manager, shared her appreciation during a debrief session, emphasizing, “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Vantage Foundation, not only for the financial support that will greatly address our children’s needs but also for the time you spent with them and the love you showed. The joy in their eyes and the excitement in their voices when you were with them are priceless. Your presence made them feel valued, heard, and supported, which deeply touches us. Thank you for being a part of their journey and for helping them feel like part of a larger family.”

This experience reaffirms the Vantage Foundation's commitment to making a difference. The success of the day was measured not just by the donations made but also by the authentic connections formed between volunteers and children.
