A Special Celebration for Tatekawa Danshun’s 60th Anniversary
This upcoming December marks a significant milestone for the celebrated rakugo artist, Tatekawa Danshun, as he turns 60. Known for his remarkable performances and ability to captivate audiences, Danshun has gained recognition not just as a storyteller but also for his recent act in the NHK Taiga drama, 'Toyotomi Brothers', where he portrays the character Ankokushi Ekei. His compelling presence and unique style have earned him the title of the 'rakugo performer with the hardest tickets to obtain'.
In light of this momentous occasion, Danshun is set to present a unique event entitled 'Tamayura', meaning “the faint sound when magatama, or ancient Japanese jewelry, touch each other”.
