This weekend, on May 30, 2026, WPÜ SHINJUKU is set to commemorate its third anniversary with an exciting event themed 'SECOND NATURE.' The event will run from 1 PM to 10 PM and offers free admission for all. Located in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo, this unique hotel, operated by Wonder Powered You, is more than just a place to stay—it's a cultural hub where diverse backgrounds meet and interact.

The term 'SECOND NATURE' embodies the concept of becoming a part of something seamlessly and intuitively, representing WPÜ’s essence of hospitality and culture. This year's theme reflects not only gratitude towards those who have supported WPÜ but also an eagerness for new relationships and encounters yet to come. Attendees can expect a day where past, present, and future gently intertwine, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Event Highlights

Throughout the day, WPÜ SHINJUKU will feature distinct areas filled with vibrant content tailored to the anniversary celebrations:

- GALLERY: Music performances will be headlined by the Tokyo-based vocalist Masumi’s project, Friday Night Plans, along with Acidclank, a solo project by Yota Mori, who adds a unique touch with modular synths. The evening will also showcase a live performance by the audiovisual unit tamanaramen.

- CAFE / BEER DINER: This area will reveal exciting collaborative tap cocktails and exclusive menu items. The musical lineup will feature DJ sets from notable artists, including Kyoto-born NTsKi, along with Katie, TYMR, Oriön, and NEKO MAFIA. This rich musical backdrop promises to elevate the dining experience.

- LOUNGE: Various food vendors will gather in the lounge, offering an array of culinary delights. Attendees can enjoy authentic Filipino cuisine from ULAM, lamb dishes paired with craft beer from ラムギ屋, natural wines from ナチュマルワインストア, vegan ice cream from yumrich, sushi from the pop-up unit 闇鮨, and craft sodas from Mezzanine Makers.

- HOTEL ROOM EXHIBITS: A unique showcase will take place across multiple floors featuring works from fashion students of Bunkafukuso Gakuin, experimental music groups, and interactive artists. Notable participants include Kwakumitsuhiro, Daitetsu Suga, Hector, Koshi Makimura, 生息地seisokuchi, and the artists-in-residence Ameer, Annie, and NARI, each converting hotel rooms into galleries of creativity.

With installations curated by 柳沢林業 from Nagano, attendees can expect a full artistic experience as music, food, and art resonate throughout the venue, capturing the essence of WPÜ.
