BE OPEN Art's Regional Competition 2025

BE OPEN Art, an established online gallery founded by humanitarian entrepreneur Elena Baturina, is set to launch a new initiative in 2025 aimed at supporting emerging artists from South Asia.

This regional competition, named BE OPEN Regional Art, has been designed to discover and promote artistic talents whose works embody their cultural and ethnic identities. Now in its third year, the initiative will span the South Asian countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.

Competition Structure

The first phase of the competition will last for three months, culminating in the announcement of the South Asian regional winner in early April. The selected artist will receive a cash prize of €500. Additionally, in a unique twist, the public will also select a favorite, providing yet another opportunity for visibility for these promising artists.

Each month throughout the competition, 20 emerging artists from the aforementioned countries will have their artworks showcased in the online gallery. The audience will be encouraged to participate actively by voting to determine the Regional Artist of the Month. At the end of the competition phase, one of these monthly winners will be crowned the Regional Artist of the Year based on public votes combined with votes from the BE OPEN Art community members.
