Immersive Horror Exhibit 'Resonance of Memory' to Tickle Your Senses

Experience Fear Like Never Before at 'Resonance of Memory'

In an intriguing collaboration between the innovative horror creative company, Yami Co., Ltd., and Parco, a new immersive exhibition titled 'Resonance of Memory - Laboratory of Sound and Emotion' is set to open on June 26, 2026, at PARCO FACTORY in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. This exhibition is designed to transport visitors into an extraordinary auditory experience that challenges the way we perceive fear through sound.

Yami, known for its previous successful horror exhibitions that attracted over 400,000 visitors—such as 'Missing Person Exhibit' and 'Fear Exhibition'—is confident that this new venture will take its audience on a journey unlike any other. The exhibition aims to investigate how sound can manipulate human cognition, alter emotions, and create the sensation of an invisible presence.

The Navigator: Ozaki Sekai Kan

The acclaimed author and musician Ozaki Sekai Kan, who is also a reader of Yami's popular horror literature 'Constantly Already,' will serve as the navigator for the exhibition. Ozaki's unique perspective on sound and fear will guide visitors through immersive experiences, allowing them to confront the disturbing aspects of daily sounds that often go unnoticed. He reflects, “The most uncertain part of my body is my ears, as they often provide sensations that feel alien or unreliable.”

The exhibition will rely heavily on auditory experiences rather than the traditional visual scares associated with haunted houses. By focusing on the unsettling soundscapes that affect our subconscious, the exhibition aims to evoke a chilling emotional response that lingers long after leaving the venue.

An Unprecedented Immersive Experience

Visitors will explore six experimental rooms that showcase different ways sound can manipulate perception and generate fear. Each room offers unique auditory stimuli, challenging guests to confront their deepest anxieties through the medium of sound. Imagine familiar environments dramatically transformed through warped acoustics—an innocuous street corner becomes a space of dread, merely by altering the soundscape. This unsettling exploration of sound, called 'Resonance of Memory,' combines two concepts: echoes and residual thoughts, to craft a narrative that plays on our inherent fear of the unknown.

Ticket Sales and Exhibition Details

To manage crowd control, the exhibition will operate on a reservation basis. Tickets will be available for purchase from May 29, 2026, and can be bought through the official website. Each ticket is priced at 1,500 yen, and children under elementary school age can enter for free.

The venue is located on the 7th floor of Ikebukuro's PARCO FACTORY, while additional exhibition dates in Nagoya and Shinsaibashi are scheduled for later in 2026. Visitors are encouraged to adjust their expectations for what comprises a typical audio experience carefully as they prepare for the surprising revelations that await them at 'Resonance of Memory.'

Join us for this enchanting and foreboding experience that promises to redefine fear through the realm of sound. We recommend attendees approach the experience with an open mind and a readiness to challenge their perceptions of reality, as the ephemeral echoes of the exhibit may haunt their senses beyond the gallery walls.
