Lexus at Milan Design Week 2026
Lexus is set to participate in the eagerly anticipated Milan Design Week 2026, a highlight in the global design calendar. This event will be held in Milan, Italy, at the Superstudio Più located in the dynamic Tortona district, where creativity converges. At this renowned venue, Lexus will unveil two impressive features: the immersive installation titled
'SPACE', centered around the stunning
Lexus LS Concept, and four innovative works created through collaboration with emerging creators in the
'Discover Together 2026' project.
The SPACE Installation
Lexus's installation
'SPACE' represents a bold reimagining of the luxury lifestyle and spatial experiences. At its core is the new flagship model,
Lexus LS Concept, signaling a major shift in the brand’s philosophy. Chief Branding Officer Simon Humphries mentions, “The letter ‘S’ in LS used to signify ‘Sedan’; moving forward, it will represent ‘Space.’ The value of the interior space will become increasingly vital in luxury vehicles.” This installation uses 360-degree visuals paired with stunning sound and light effects, allowing visitors to feel as though they are immersed in the future of mobility and the spaces it creates.
The evolution of mobility transcends mere transportation, evolving into an enriching lifestyle experience as land, sea, and air meld seamlessly. With
'SPACE', Lexus invites attendees to explore the limitless potential of future mobility and spatial design.
Discover Together 2026
Alongside
'SPACE', Lexus continues its
'Discover Together' initiative, launched last year to support promising creators. This year's theme,
'Discover Your Space', encourages creative individuals from various disciplines to interpret the Lexus vision through their unique perspectives. The four teams participating include:
1.
Kiyotaro Hayashi & Yumi Kurotani (Japan)
2.
Guardini Ciuffreda Studio (Italy)
3.
Random Studio (Netherlands)
4. A collaborative team from Japan’s skilled artisans alongside Lexus in-house designers.
These innovative projects promise a series of experiential works that inspire visitors and redefine the meaning of personal space. Each creator brings a distinct interpretation that aligns with the luxury concept inspired by the
Lexus LS Concept. For instance, Hayashi and Kurotani's installation focuses on the unseen emotions that enrich life, using a tea room metaphor to connect people through a shared sensory experience. Meanwhile, Guardini Ciuffreda Studio presents a coat that interacts with its wearer’s movements, redefining what it means to occupy space.
