Renxa's Innovative Project Supports Youth from Child Welfare Facilities

Renxa's Contribution to Youth Independence

Renxa Inc., based in Tokyo and led by CEO Koji Sakamoto, has recently garnered attention in the National Rental Housing Newspaper for its participation in the support initiative for youth transitioning out of child welfare facilities, known as 'Mirai'. Through this project, Renxa aims to empower these young individuals by aiding their living situations and job placements. The overarching goal is to promote self-reliance among children, ensuring they are equipped with hope and the means to step confidently into their futures.

Overview of the 'Mirai' Project

The 'Mirai' project functions as a network initiative, starting with house-hunting assistance provided by Housecom. Partner companies contribute through their business activities to support youth leaving facilities. Remarkably, when residents sign housing contracts through Renxa, they are eligible for cashback benefits on essential service contracts like electricity, gas, and communications. This approach emphasizes that the program is not about mere donations; instead, it aims to comprehensively support the new beginnings of youth as they transition into independent living, thereby ensuring their stability and self-sufficiency.

Background and Purpose

According to a recent survey by the Children and Families Agency, around 23,000 children reside in facilities across Japan, many of whom must transition to independence upon turning 18. While the legal adult age has been lowered, allowing them to sign rental contracts, challenges still persist, particularly concerning housing debt guarantee agreements. Young individuals often encounter numerous societal obstacles such as pursuing further education, securing employment, and covering moving expenses, which can lead to cases of inadequate support and isolation. Thus, securing stable housing becomes a crucial foundation for these youths as they strive for a brighter future.

In response to this pressing need, Housecom Inc., whose core business is real estate rental brokerage, has initiated the 'Mirai' project. This project rallies like-minded companies to create a supportive network focused on assisting youth leaving welfare facilities in finding suitable housing solutions.

As part of this initiative, Renxa is dedicated to fostering optimal living environments tailored to individual needs. The company offers plans aimed at alleviating initial costs for these individuals, as well as celebratory cash prizes to support their new lives. Moreover, Renxa actively participates in the 'Mochi-Navi', a nationwide job listing site for child welfare facilities, aiming to create employment opportunities and a sustainable support framework for these youths.

In an effort to help as many young people as possible step forward with hope, Renxa focuses on creating lifestyles that align with their needs, providing personalized support. The company's commitment not only contributes to building a society where these young individuals can live with confidence but ultimately advances the better living conditions for all residents in Japan.
