MATSURI JAPAN 2025 IN TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY
In celebration of the opening of Takanawa Gateway City, Happo-en, a comprehensive production company, has collaborated with East Japan Railway Company to present "MATSURI JAPAN 2025 IN TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY," which will take place over two days on June 28 and 29, 2025, at the Takanawa Gateway Convention Center LINKPILLAR Hall A and B. This festival will be a grand gathering of various regional celebrations, showcasing the rich tapestry of Japanese culture and traditions.
A Platform for Innovation and Culture
Takanawa Gateway City, located directly connected to the Takanawa Gateway Station, aims to be a pioneering hub for innovations and cultural experiences as it moves into its next century. The city has a history dating back 400 years as a Japanese garden and has garnered 82 years of experience through Happo-en. Following its opening on March 27, 2025, the city will continuously engage in events celebrating local culture through food trucks, artisan shops, and more.
The MATSURI JAPAN event will invite performers from across Japan, creating a unique atmosphere titled “A Sensory Journey through Japanese Festivals.” Attendees can look forward to various engaging areas, including:

Festival Area - Immerse yourself in powerful performances by regional festival artists that will enchant audiences of all ages.

Culinary Area - Savor new local dishes crafted by Happo-en chefs featuring ingredients from participating regions, focusing on a festival theme.

Yen Ni Area - Experience nostalgia with traditional festival activities that bring joy to adults and children alike.

The Exciting Event Schedule
The MATSURI JAPAN festival will host performances across two days, segmented into day and night sessions:
- - Day Session: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM (Doors open at 11:00 AM)
- - Night Session: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM (Doors open at 4:30 PM)
- - Yen Ni Area: Open all day from 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Ticket Information
Entrance fees include:
- - Adults: Early Bird Price of ¥1,500 (May 2 – May 28), Regular Price of ¥2,000 (May 29 – event day)
- - Students: ¥1,000 (includes one drink)
