Introducing Martin Guitar's New Models Ahead of NAMM 2026 Show

Martin Guitar Introduces Four New Models for NAMM 2026

C. F. Martin & Co., renowned for its exceptional handcrafted guitars, has announced an exciting lineup of four new instruments just ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 NAMM Show. The new models include the Super D-18, Super HD-28, Martin O'ahu K-42 Hibiscus, and Custom Shop M Paisley Ember Burst. This release signifies another milestone for the company as it continues to innovate and enhance its offerings in the world of acoustic guitars.

The New Models

Super D-18 and Super HD-28

The Super D-18 and Super HD-28 are the latest expansions of Martin's popular body shapes. They build upon the success of the Custom Shop Super D, which is lauded for its larger body and robust sound. With an increase of nearly 20% in internal air volume compared to a standard dreadnought, the Super D models promise a significant boost in bass depth and projection while preserving the classic Martin silhouette. Acoustic tests have demonstrated increases in volume up to 12dB, allowing musicians to achieve greater sound with less effort.

The Super D-18 is crafted from solid spruce and genuine mahogany, while the Super HD-28 features a combination of solid spruce and East Indian rosewood. Both models also utilize the forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, enhancing their tonal richness and responsiveness.

Martin O'ahu K-42 Hibiscus

Expanding the Martin O'ahu line, the K-42 Hibiscus offers a unique design that pays homage to the historic Kealakai body style. This instrument includes a combination of a 12-fret body and a 14-fret neck, a groundbreaking configuration for Martin. This alteration shifts the bridge position, focusing on enhanced sound projection. The K-42 Hibiscus is made from broad-flamed koa for its back and sides, a reclaimed spruce top with a toasted dark burst finish, and Style 42 appointments. Limited to just 100 pieces, this guitar beautifully fuses heritage with modern artistic craftsmanship and stunning aesthetics.

Custom Shop M Paisley Ember Burst

The Custom Shop M Paisley Ember Burst was designed by none other than Martin's President and CEO, Thomas Ripsam. It showcases an Engelmann spruce top adorned with a distinctive “Martin paisley” motif that incorporates classic snowflake and diamond designs. The instrument features quilted maple for both its back and sides, enveloped in an eye-catching Ember Burst finish. Furthermore, the forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped bracing promotes an articulate tone, supported by features such as flamed maple binding, abalone inlays, Waverly gold tuners, and L.R. Baggs® Anthem™ electronics. Limited to one year of production, this model is a must-have for both avid players and collectors.

A Promising Start to 2026

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Martin's recently refreshed Road Series, signaling a strong start for the brand in 2026. The introduction of these four models contributes to setting an upbeat tone for their presence at the upcoming NAMM Show, and fans can expect to see even more exciting updates soon.

For music enthusiasts and guitar collectors alike, these new offerings from C. F. Martin & Co. highlight not only the company’s commitment to quality craftsmanship but also its pursuit of pushing the boundaries of acoustic music.
