Empire State Building Shines Red for Women Who Inspire Initiative by Dress for Success

Empire State Building Glows Red for Women's Empowerment

In a spectacular tribute to women's achievements and resilience, the iconic Empire State Building was illuminated in its striking red hue on the evening of March 24, 2025. This event marked the launch of the "Women Who Inspire" campaign, a collaborative initiative between Dress for Success® Worldwide and the Empire State Building. The campaign, spanning the entire month of March, is dedicated to honoring 31 remarkable women who exemplify tenacity and success stories around the globe.

The event was attended by Michele C. Meyer-Shipp, the CEO of Dress for Success, alongside Olivia Palermo, a renowned entrepreneur, style icon, and longstanding advocate for women’s success. As part of the campaign’s Inspiration Committee, Palermo has been instrumental in promoting Dress for Success's mission, which focuses on aiding unemployed and underemployed women in achieving economic independence.

"Success begins with opportunity, and Dress for Success has long been committed to providing women with the tools they need to advance their careers with confidence," remarked Palermo. She continued, "It’s inspiring to witness collaborations like these that highlight our mission and the incredible women whose stories we celebrate. I am proud to support the Women Who Inspire campaign and to be a part of its vital work."

The "Women Who Inspire" campaign embodies the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of women everywhere. Meyer-Shipp expressed her gratitude towards Olivia Palermo for joining in amplifying this important cause. She stated, "We are thrilled that Olivia has joined us to highlight our significant work, and we are immensely grateful to the Empire State Building for lighting up the skyline in honor of this campaign. Such a powerful display is a testament to the impact we can create when we come together to uplift and celebrate women globally."

Throughout the "Women Who Inspire" campaign, Palermo is joined by other distinguished members of the Inspiration Committee, which includes long-time Dress for Success Brand Ambassadors such as Scarlett Johansson, Shay Mitchell, Yara Shahidi, Sunny Hostin, Whitney Port-Rosenman, Kate Young, Joe Zee, and Micaela Erlanger, among many others. These ambassadors play a crucial role in raising awareness and garnering support for Dress for Success's global programming.
