H//PE Princess, birthed from the joint Japan-Korea audition show
'Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess,' has officially signed a global contract with
Warner Music Group. This collaboration aims to elevate the group’s aspirations to become a globally-renowned hip-hop sensation.
The Making of H//PE Princess
The groundbreaking show,
'Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess,' focused on forming a next-generation hip-hop group with a global perspective. A total of 40 aspiring artists from Japan and Korea participated in this competitive audition, with established figures in the industry, including
Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, Gaeko, RIEHATA, and
Takanori Iwata from Sandaime J Soul Brothers, serving as main producers.
After an intense selection process spanning approximately three months, seven talented members were chosen through fan votes, culminating in the official formation of
H//PE Princess in December 2025. The group aims to debut in early 2026, with its title track produced by Gaeko, a prominent figure in Korea's hip-hop scene and a member of the duo
Dynamic Duo.
Management and Marketing Strategies
H//PE Princess represents the first artist to be managed by
Chapter-I, a company co-established by
CJ ENM, a global IP powerhouse, and
Hakuhodo, a leading integrated marketing innovation firm. Warner Music Group will collaborate with CJ ENM and Chapter-I to enhance the group's activities not just in Asia, but across the globe.
