Kinder Chocolate and Paul George Create a Fun Summer Basketball Campaign for Families
Kinder Chocolate Teams Up with Paul George for a Fun-Filled Summer
This summer, as kids step out of the classroom and into a world of adventure, Kinder Chocolate® is redefining the essence of play with its latest campaign, 'Pass The Fun'. In collaboration with NBA All-Star Paul George, this initiative aims to unite families and inspire children to enjoy basketball in a way that's engaging and full of joy.
The campaign comes at a perfect time when youth sports participation is at its peak, yet many kids opt out due to pressure and burnout. Understanding this issue, Kinder Chocolate not only promotes its delicious chocolate treat but also encourages families to explore the simple joy of playing basketball together.
Paul George, who has been appointed as the Commissioner of Fun, shares a heartfelt connection to the game. His love for basketball, paired with his role as a father, emphasizes the importance of fostering a love for the sport in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. The campaign challenges parents and children to reimagine the traditional ways basketball is played.
To bring this creative vision to life, Kinder Chocolate organized an exciting event at the West Side YMCA in New York City. Here, Paul George acted as the referee, overseeing a game that incorporated imaginative rules crafted by children, emphasizing a fun-first approach. Traditional elements of the game were transformed; players were rewarded with Kinder Chocolate bars for every three-pointer made, and inflatable seating areas replaced standard benches, adding an element of whimsy to the court.
Additionally, inventive rules allowed players to choose between a free throw or a layup when fouled, promoting strategy and teamwork. George's daughter Olivia even contributed to the game by proposing a rule that every player must touch the ball before a shot, a creative aspect that helped further cultivate cooperation on the court.
