AIM Academy Expands Pre-K Classrooms
AIM Academy, a prominent name in early childhood education in Alabama, is delighted to announce the addition of four new First Class Pre-K classrooms as part of a recent award granted by the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education (ADECE). This exciting expansion will take place for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year and aims to broaden the reach of AIM Academy's acclaimed early learning programs to even more four-year-olds across Alabama.
The newly awarded classrooms will be located at AIM Academy's campuses in Chelsea, Helena, Trussville, and Meridianville. This development highlights the institution's longstanding commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences tailored to young children's needs.
The Alabama First Class Pre-K program is widely respected as a national leader in early education. For an impressive 19 years, it has earned accolades as the highest quality state-funded pre-kindergarten program in the United States, as recognized by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). This consistent acknowledgment is a testament to the program's rigorous adherence to all 10 research-based quality benchmarks, earning its reputation as a gold standard for preparing children for kindergarten and beyond.
Numerous studies reveal that children who participate in Alabama's First Class Pre-K program have a higher likelihood of achieving proficiency in literacy and mathematics. They also have reduced chances of needing remedial education or special education services. Moreover, these students show increased rates of high school graduation and a propensity for pursuing higher education opportunities.
Leann Marion, Director of Education for AIM Academy, expressed her enthusiasm regarding the new classrooms: "We are incredibly honored and excited to receive these four new First Class Pre-K classroom grants. This award from ADECE is a direct reflection of our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional early learning experiences for young children. We share ADECE's dedication to high quality and are proud to contribute to Alabama's nationally recognized success in early childhood education."
