Learning to Thrive in Times of Change
As the world continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, educational institutions are faced with the challenge of equipping students with the necessary skills to adapt and flourish. Tatsuhiro Ohara, the Dean of Business Breakthrough University (BBT), is set to present a special lecture at the 80th anniversary event of Hokuriku Gakuin University on October 29, 2025.
About the Event
This prestigious event will take place at the Hokuriku Gakuin University International Exchange Training Center, where Ohara will discuss the critical importance of reskilling and career development in today’s changing landscape. His lecture, titled "Learning and Practice to Thrive in Times of Change: Reskilling Strategies and Career Development Tips," aims to provide valuable insights for both students and professionals.
Hokuriku Gakuin University, established as Kanazawa Women's School in 1885, has evolved into a comprehensive educational institution that serves students from kindergarten to university. With its rich history, the university will celebrate its 140th anniversary in 2025, while its junior college marks its 75th anniversary this year, preparing to reach its 80th milestone in 2030.
As part of the 140th anniversary celebrations, Hokuriku Gakuin emphasizes integrating tradition with innovation, ensuring that education remains relevant to the needs of the community and the broader society.
Collaboration between Aoba-BBT and Hokuriku Gakuin
In January 2025, Aoba-BBT signed a partnership agreement with Hokuriku Gakuin, combining their strengths in online education and leadership development to create a forward-looking education model. As a result, from April 2026, a new program called the Social Management Department will be launched, blending business administration and sociology in a hybrid format. This initiative intends to equip students with the skills needed to address local and global social and business challenges.
Tatsuhiro Ohara, who is also the head of the Graduate School of Business Administration, is actively involved in preparing for the new department. His extensive experience in business education positions him as a key speaker for the anniversary lecture, and attendees can expect practical strategies for navigating career aspirations amid constant change.
