Stunning Milestone for 'MYSTERIO'



The original performing arts show 'MYSTERIO' has marked a significant achievement, breaking the barrier of 100 performances aboard the luxurious cruise ship, Asuka III. This digital creative spectacle is produced by Hitohata, led by the visionary president, Takeaki Toyoyama. Launched on July 20, 2025, the Asuka III offers an extraordinary entertainment experience at the Lumière Theatre, which features cutting-edge digital technology, including holographic screens and LED displays.

The Essence of 'MYSTERIO'



'MYSTERIO' is themed around the mystique and romance of ancient Mexican civilization, intertwining elements of nature, sun, jungle, and vivid wildlife. The narrative is brought to life through enchanting cultural expressions and dance, enveloping the audience in its alluring storytelling. This performance aims to not only entertain but also immerse guests in a speculative journey of ancient cultures.

The show runs approximately 30 minutes and will continue long-term with about 70 performances expected annually, subject to cruise schedules.

Asuka III itself is a state-of-the-art cruise ship, registered in Yokohama, and is the largest Japanese passenger ship, boasting a gross tonnage of 52,265 GT. It measures 230 meters in length and 29.8 meters in width, accommodating up to 680 guests across 351 cabins.

The ship aims to preserve and promote Japanese culture through onboard experiences, art installations, and high-quality service that reflects Japan’s renowned hospitality. Its interior is adorned with artworks and crafts that represent the rich tapestry of Japan’s cultural heritage.
