Chokipetasu Creative Workshop Unifies Operations with Nakasho

The Unification of Chokipetasu's Operations and Conclusion of the Paper Amusement Park Project

In an exciting new development, Nakasho Co., located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and Atelier Yamada, based in Kofu, Yamanashi, have jointly announced the centralization of operations for the creatively stimulating project known as the "Chokipetasu creative workshop." This important step marks the end of the "Paper Amusement Park" initiative, which had initially launched as a collaboration between the two organizations. Moving forward, Nakasho Co. will take complete charge of managing the Chokipetasu brand.

Background of the Collaboration

The journey of the Paper Amusement Park project began with Nakasho Co., a paper wholesaler founded in 1783, which partnered with Atelier Yamada – an art planning organization dedicated to transforming ideas into tangible experiences. The primary objective was to create a new hub of creativity in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. The first phase of this ambitious project led to the creation of a groundbreaking creative space called "Chokipetasu," which focused on artistic expression through diverse forms of paper and colorful craft materials.

The collaborative ventures took off with the inaugural event held at Nakasho Co.’s headquarters in April 2021, followed by the official launch of the traveling Chokipetasu workshop in June of the same year. Since then, both companies have successfully hosted numerous workshops in commercial facilities and community settings across Japan, delivering inspirational experiences to participants of all ages.

Shifts in operational dynamics eventually emerged, with the two companies conducting individual sessions alongside collaborative ones. Realizing the need for a unified approach to maintain a consistent brand experience for participants, the decision was made to consolidate the operations under Nakasho Co., allowing for streamlined growth and development.

The Future of Chokipetasu

Looking ahead, Nakasho Co. aims to broaden creative opportunities for children and adults alike, ensuring that the energy and excitement from the workshops are shared widely. The vision for Chokipetasu reflects a commitment not only to provide an engaging atmosphere but also to foster creativity without the constraints of traditional outcomes or perfection.

"Our aim is to create spaces that inspire joy and hands-on experiences for everyone involved, further nurturing the creative potential in each individual," expressed the Solution Design Department of Nakasho Co.

In conjunction with this operational unification, Atelier Yamada will continue to collaborate with Nakasho Co. by providing materials and participating in future events, enhancing the allure of Chokipetasu while exploring new creative possibilities.

"We hold deep gratitude for the relationship we have developed with Nakasho Co. and look forward to contributing to the evolution of the Chokipetasu brand," stated Ryuta Yamada, President of Atelier Yamada.

Chokipetasu thrives thanks to the contributions of numerous creators and organizations donating materials for various projects. Continued support from this network will further strengthen the initiative's impact.
