Page Siplon Appointed as President and COO of ATRI: A New Era Begins
Page Siplon Appointed as President and COO of ATRI
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), a prominent non-profit organization in the trucking industry, has announced the appointment of Page Siplon as its next President and Chief Operating Officer. This significant transition in leadership will take place in November 2026, when Siplon will join current President Rebecca Brewster, who is set to retire in February 2027.
Page Siplon comes to ATRI with over 20 years of extensive experience across private industry, public policy, and military service. He previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer at TeamOne Logistics, a position he maintained for more than a decade. During his tenure, he was instrumental in expanding the company’s services, with a strong emphasis on addressing the national workforce challenges in the trucking sector, from driver recruitment and retention to safety and operational hurdles.
Before his impactful role at TeamOne, Siplon devoted over ten years to enhancing logistics and innovation for the State of Georgia. As the Executive Director of the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, he led initiatives to improve freight transportation capabilities and boost Georgia’s logistics sector competitiveness. His successful efforts included founding the Georgia Logistics Summit, which became one of the largest logistics conferences in the United States. Siplon also spearheaded the Georgia Centers of Innovation program, focusing on six strategic industry sectors across the state. His leadership extended nationally, where he served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness, helping shape critical policies surrounding logistics and transportation.
Brenda Neville, President and CEO of the Iowa Motor Truck Association and Chair of the ATRI Search Committee, expressed her enthusiasm for Siplon’s appointment, stating, "Page brings a unique combination of executive leadership, a track record of building public-private partnerships, and a deep understanding of the transportation industry." She firmly believes his collaborative and experienced approach will not only continue ATRI's legacy but also enhance its contributions to the trucking sector.
Rebecca Brewster, the outgoing ATRI President, expressed excitement about the future collaboration with Siplon, "I've known Page since his tenure with the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, and I'm eager to work with him as he transitions into this vital role. Page’s leadership will be crucial for guiding ATRI's mission and research initiatives at a time when the trucking industry faces increasingly complex challenges."
In his own words, Siplon conveyed his enthusiasm about his new leadership role, stating, "I'm incredibly excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead ATRI and build on the remarkable work Rebecca and her team have accomplished over the years. The trucking sector is the backbone of our economy; without it, our nation cannot function. ATRI has earned respect and trust throughout the industry, and I see immense potential to further that foundation, expanding our reach and application of research for a more efficient trucking industry and economy."
Siplon's selection follows a nationwide search procedure to find a suitable successor for Brewster, who has been a pivotal figure in ATRI for more than three decades. As a non-profit research entity focused on freight transportation, ATRI emphasizes the importance of effective research and analysis in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient transportation system.
With Siplon at the helm, ATRI is poised for a future of enhanced collaboration and innovation, continuing its vital role in addressing the ever-evolving demands of the trucking industry. This leader's appointment signals a new chapter in the organization’s mission to provide crucial insights and guidance, ensuring that the trucking industry can navigate the complexities ahead effectively.
