Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, Japan's first gourmet hotel established by the renowned French food brand Fauchon, announces the appointment of Kiyoshi Gomamoto as the new General Manager effective November 1, 2025. Having a robust background in the hospitality industry, Gomamoto is well-positioned to lead this unique establishment located in Kyoto.

Gomamoto began his career at The Westin Tokyo, followed by significant roles at prestigious hotels including The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons. With over two decades of experience, he deeply understands the nuances of luxury hospitality. Since the hotel opened, Gomamoto has been dedicated to the guest experience as the Director of Accommodation and later served as the Deputy General Manager and Hotel Manager, playing a pivotal role in its growth and operations.

About Kiyoshi Gomamoto


Gomamoto’s hospitality journey began in 2002 at The Westin Tokyo. Following time spent at international hotels in Hong Kong and New York, he returned to Japan in 2012, leading roles at The Ritz-Carlton and Conrad Osaka, among others. Starting as the Director of Accommodation at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto during its preparations in 2021, Gomamoto has collaboratively built a vision for the hotel’s success over the years.
