E4E Relief Announces Board Leadership Transition
E4E Relief, a leader in corporate-sponsored Emergency Financial Relief (EFR) programs, has announced a strategic transition in its board leadership that emphasizes innovation and enhanced services for clients and applicants. This change, which showcases both recognition of established leaders and the introduction of new talents, is a pivotal step in solidifying the organization’s role as a trusted entity in the employee relief sector.
Embracing New Leadership
Rita Mitjans, a retired executive from a Fortune 250 company and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, has been appointed as the new Board Chair. With over 30 years of experience in leadership roles spanning strategy, human resources, marketing, and corporate social responsibility, she is well-equipped to guide E4E Relief through its next growth phase. Mitjans previously held the position of Chief Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at ADP, where she spearheaded award-winning initiatives that significantly bolstered corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts.
Matthew Pierce, CEO of E4E Relief, remarked, "Rita brings exactly the kind of global leadership and strategic vision we need. Her wealth of experience in implementing impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives at scale positions us perfectly to expand our outreach during crises worldwide."
Honoring Legacy
This transition not only welcomes new leadership but also pays homage to outgoing board members whose contributions were invaluable. Kevin Roche, A.J. Ratani, Kelly Katterhagen, and Dr. Ruth G. Shaw, who played critical roles in the strategic direction and success of E4E Relief, were recognized for their steadfast dedication. Roche, who previously served as the Board Chair, was instrumental during challenging times, providing financial acumen and leadership through the COVID-19 pandemic. Pierce stated, "We would not be where we are today without Kevin's wisdom, and the meaningful insights from Ruth, Kelly, and A.J. will continue to inspire our path forward."
Welcoming New Executives
Joining the board now are four distinguished executives with extensive backgrounds that enhance E4E Relief's capabilities and align with its mission:
