Moab Air Service Introduces Convenient Flights to Denver and Salt Lake City

Moab's New Air Services: Connecting Travelers to Adventure

Starting this October, Canyonlands Regional Airport (CNY) will welcome new air routes linking Moab to two major cities: Denver and Salt Lake City. This development comes as part of the year-round United Express service set to launch on October 7 and the seasonal Delta Connection service, resuming operations on October 1. Both services are operated by SkyWest Airlines, providing passengers with more travel options than ever before.

The introduction of these routes has been met with excitement from local authorities. Michael Soleta, the director of the Moab Office of Tourism, emphasized the importance of improved accessibility for travelers. "New service from Denver and Salt Lake City makes Moab easier to reach from across the country and around the world," he stated. "Once you’re here, there’s so much to explore that a day or two simply isn’t enough." This sentiment captures the essence of Moab, a destination renowned for its stunning landscapes, outdoor adventures, and cultural experiences.

Installing connectivity to Denver International Airport (DEN) with year-round flights is particularly beneficial for frequent travelers and tourists alike. The planned schedule includes either one or two daily roundtrip flights, allowing for flexibility in travel. The inaugural flight from Denver is set to depart at 8 a.m. on October 7, landing in Moab at 9:30 a.m. For those returning, the flight from Moab will take off at 10:10 a.m., arriving back in Denver by 11:35 a.m.

In addition, the Delta Connection service to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) will offer seasonal flights, reactivating service just in time for the fall tourist season. This route will operate one daily roundtrip flight starting October 1, continuing through the Thanksgiving holiday, with plans to return in March. The first flight from Salt Lake City is scheduled to leave at 3:40 p.m., landing in Moab at 4:40 p.m. Passengers can expect a return flight to Salt Lake City at 5:36 p.m.

Cody Thomas, Managing Director of Market Development at SkyWest Airlines, expressed enthusiasm regarding these new connections. "Having direct access to Denver and Salt Lake City, along with the ability to connect on United's and Delta's global networks, makes it easy and convenient for local travelers to explore further and makes Moab an attractive destination for visitors from around the globe," he commented.

Travelers will have the option of flying on a modern fleet that includes a 50-passenger CRJ200 aircraft for United flights and a 50-passenger CRJ550 aircraft for Delta flights, which features various seating classes, including Delta First and Delta Comfort.

Booking tickets can be done via the airlines' websites, united.com and delta.com, as well as through their respective mobile applications. Additionally, passengers will earn MileagePlus miles on United Express flights and SkyMiles on Delta Connection flights.
