Insect Exploration Festival: A Summer Adventure for Kids

The 'Insect Exploration Festival' will be held at Aeon Mall Makuhari New Town from August 9 to 17, 2025. This event is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about insects through fun, engaging activities. Created under the special supervision of the best-selling educational encyclopedia, Shogakukan's ‘Zukan NEO’, this festival is designed to foster curiosity and a love for learning.

The event features a plethora of attractions designed around the theme of insects. With digital attractions and giant insect robots scattered throughout the Grand Mall, kids can freely explore and learn in a hands-on environment. This year's festival is particularly focused on two popular species among children: the Giraffe Beetle and the Hercules Beetle. Expect a wide array of engaging activities, including workshops and a stamp rally that can help them with their summer homework!

1. Giant Insect Robots: Experience approximately 30 types of huge insect robots, along with displays featuring around 50 live insect specimens. This hands-on experience will surely excite all young enthusiasts.

2. Insect-themed Attractions: Participate in fun activities like 'Drawing Paradise' where kids can see their drawings come to life, and 'Insect Discovery' that includes quizzes and challenges.

3. Workshops for Curious Minds: The festival will provide several workshops, including:
- Observation Workshops: Children can learn about some rare beetles!
- Giraffe Beetles from August 9 to August 12.
- Hercules Beetles from August 13 to August 17.
- Crafting Workshops: Attend the construction workshop for insect-themed visors.
- Collectible Goods: Exclusive insect mini-figures for the first 100 attendees each day, as well as special mini notebooks during the weekdays.
- Stamp Rally: Collect stamps from five designated locations throughout the venue for a chance to win prizes such as giant insects!
