Community Solution Education System Welcomes New Chief Academic Officer
On December 3, 2024, The Community Solution Education System announced the appointment of Dr. Cherron R. Hoppes as the new Chief Academic Officer (CAO), effective from November 4, 2024. Dr. Hoppes arrives with over 20 years of dedicated experience in higher education leadership, previously serving as Chief Student Experience Officer at Notre Dame de Namur University. Her track record illustrates a deep commitment to educational innovation and completion rates across various academic settings, including Hispanic Serving Institutions and recognized research universities.
In her role, Dr. Hoppes will implement academic strategies that are crucial in fostering engaging and collaborative learning environments across The Community Solution’s six colleges and universities. Chancellor Michael Horowitz expressed his enthusiasm about her appointment, stating, "Dr. Hoppes' expertise in strategic planning and instructional design will enhance our ability to provide transformative learning opportunities that support student success."
Dr. Hoppes has previously contributed to The Community Solution as a member of the Board of Trustees at Saybrook University, an experience that has equipped her with an in-depth understanding of the organization’s mission, values, and operational mechanisms. Dr. Cherron R. Hoppes holds a Doctorate in Education from The University of Alabama and a Master of Public Administration focused on Higher Education Administration from New Mexico State University. Her qualifications, coupled with her extensive experience, make her an ideal candidate to lead the academic endeavors of The Community Solution Education System.
