Prospera Financial Services Hosts Record-Breaking CONNECT Conference
On October 14-16, 2026,
Prospera Financial Services held its largest
CONNECT Conference to date in Dallas, Texas, bringing together a record crowd of over 200 participants, including financial advisors and industry partners. This premier event served as a platform for education, networking, and collaboration among professionals in the wealth management industry.
A Platform for Learning and Growth
The conference included a variety of engaging sessions such as general discussions, interactive roundtables, and breakout workshops. These sessions were carefully designed to equip advisors with knowledge and tools to enhance their practices and client experiences as they prepare for an evolving wealth management landscape.
Tarah Williams, the president and COO of Prospera, expressed her excitement about the increased attendance, emphasizing that it showcases the strength and commitment of the Prospera community. "Seeing more advisors come together for CONNECT than ever before is incredibly meaningful," she stated. "The growth of this event reflects our advisors' desire to continue learning and collaborating."
Future-Proofing Advisory Practices
At this year’s CONNECT, discussions focused on what it takes to build a resilient advisory practice for 2030 and beyond. Various topics were covered, including the integration of
artificial intelligence, technological advancements, and high-net-worth client solutions. Sessions highlighted investment strategies and the effective use of emerging tools, enabling advisors to streamline their operations while still delivering personalized service.
A notable highlight of the conference was the keynote address delivered by Darin Kinder, a former special agent of the U.S. Secret Service. With a remarkable career spanning 25 years, Kinder protected several presidents and received the Secret Service Medal of Valor for his courageous actions on September 11, 2001. During his speech, he shared invaluable insights on leadership, resilience, and finding purpose in one’s work.
Commitment to Philanthropy
Apart from educational discussions, CONNECT 2026 emphasized Prospera’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy. This year’s initiative benefited
Paws of Honor and
A Soldier’s Hands, organizations dedicated to supporting veterans, military personnel, and retired service K9s. The conference attendees collectively raised over
$40,000 and assembled
600 care packages for service members stationed abroad.
Recognizing Excellence
In addition to educational and philanthropic endeavors, the conference also took the time to recognize outstanding contributions within the Prospera community.
Edge First Wealth Partners was honored with the
Abel Garcia Quality Award for their unwavering commitment to excellence and process improvement. Furthermore,
Bryan Waldrop received the
President’s Advisory Council (PAC) Excellence Award, recognized for exemplifying the firm’s core values—care, character, competency, and innovation.
"CONNECT serves as a reminder of the power of community collaboration," added Williams. "The exchanges of ideas and connections forged throughout the week propel us forward. We are eager to build upon this momentum as we look towards the future."
