The festivities of CreatorWeek Macao 2025 came to a close on October 28, marking a vibrant celebration of creativity and cultural exchange. Organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) alongside Branded, this event underscored Macao's ambition to establish itself as a bustling global creative center. Over five electrifying days, the event featured 185 groups of content creators from around the world, collectively boasting a staggering fanbase of approximately 2 billion individuals.
During the event, participants engaged in a lively cultural collaboration that highlighted Macao's unique blend of heritage and modernity. Creators leveraged this setting to share their innovative ideas, effectively showcasing the city as a youthful and international travel destination. With collaborative workshops, engagements with regional creatives, and live performances, CreatorWeek served as an incubator for fresh partnerships and co-productions.
The week kicked off with an opulent launch party at Wynn Palace Macau, attended by over 250 creators, industry leaders, and notable guests including Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of MGTO, and prominent figures from Google and various popular content creation circles. Interactive conferences at the Grand Lisboa Palace engaged over 600 industry participants who explored topics such as market entry, global expansion, and current trends in the creative economy.
High-energy wellness workshops, themed around the merging of creativity and mindfulness, were led by creators like Matt Tralli and venues like MGM MACAU, promoting overall well-being among attendees. At The Londoner Macao, a bustling meet-and-greet blossomed into a nexus where more than 1,700 participants, including renowned creators like Steven He and the musical ensemble PSYCHIC FEVER, could connect physically after building online networks.
The cultural interchange continued at the CreatorWeek Live at Galaxy Macau, featuring electrifying performances from artists representing South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, celebrating the rich tapestry of global cultures. For aspiring creators, the week provided a chance to learn and grow at the CreatorWeek Academy, where around 120 emerging talents gained invaluable insights into content production and audience engagement.
Notably, the event highlighted Macao's historical significance as a gateway for China to the world, a theme echoed by content creator Lei’s Adventure during a panel discussion. The creators voiced a shared vision of leveraging their influential positions to spread positivity and education globally through their talent.
An exciting Local Community Tour allowed 20 international creatives to team up with local ambassadors, exploring Macao’s neighborhoods and authentic cuisine while producing content that reflected the city's East-West identity. This initiative allowed viewers worldwide to witness Macao's charm and vibrant community spirit through the lens of creative storytelling.
MGTO’s Acting Director, Cheng Wai Tong, emphasized the growing influence of content creators as powerful storytellers. Their unique perspectives would convey Macao's multi-cultural narratives and innovative dynamics in touching and relatable ways, reaching hundreds of millions around the globe.
