Tokyo World Gate Akasaka Celebrates Completion of Phase Two Development
The Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project, a landmark mixed-use development spearheaded by Mori Trust and NTT Urban Development, has officially completed its second phase as planned on October 15. This expansive development is part of a national strategy urban planning initiative recognized within the Tokyo Metropolitan Area’s National Strategic Special Zone.
A Landmark in Akasaka
Located in Akasaka 2-chome, the Tokyo World Gate embodies both cutting-edge business facilities and rich cultural heritage, with historical sites such as the Akasaka Hikawa Shrine and former Daimyo residences coexisting with modern skyscrapers. Following the initial phase completion in August last year, the project saw the establishment of approximately 5,600 square meters of extensive greenery surrounding the 210-meter tall Akasaka Trust Tower, and improved pedestrian pathways connecting the property to local cultural landmarks.
The successful completion of phase two marks a significant milestone, creating a green urban area for both residents and office workers to enjoy. The project aims to further support local development with the ongoing transformation of public roads and the establishment of cultural facilities promoting the area's rich history while blending business and tourism elements.
Current Status and Future Development Plans
Offices
The office spaces have achieved a remarkable occupancy rate of over 95%, with tenants progressively moving in over the coming months.

Additional residential spaces are also set to debut this winter, providing urban living options in a green, community-focused environment.

Cultural Facilities
Development is underway for facilities designed to showcase Akasaka's local resources, including exhibitions of Edo-style floats and historical narratives.
Other Amenities
As of October, a new limousine bus stop for Narita Airport is operational at the basement level of the Akasaka Trust Tower, enhancing connectivity for both residents and visitors.
