Launch of the 'Gutters for Good' Initiative
In a commendable effort to give back to those who have served, The Brothers That Just Do Gutters has launched a new initiative aimed at aiding veterans affected by natural disasters. This initiative, dubbed 'Gutters for Good', is conducted in collaboration with Rebuilding Together, a prominent national nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing homes and revitalizing communities across the United States.
Understanding the Need
Natural disasters can wreak havoc on homes, leaving many families in dire situations. Veterans, who have dedicated their lives to serving their country, often find themselves disproportionately affected by these crises. The 'Gutters for Good' program has been specifically designed to provide professional-grade gutter systems to veterans' homes that have faced water damage due to such events. By doing so, the initiative aims to enhance the resilience and safety of these homes, ensuring veterans have a secure living environment.
The First Recipient
On January 29, 2025, the inaugural installation took place at the home of Sean McLaughlin, a veteran and current member of the Army National Guard, in Plant City, Florida. Sean's home suffered significant water damage following numerous hurricanes, resulting in pooling rainwater that posed structural risks. The project, valued at approximately $3,000, involved the installation of seamless gutters, specially crafted on-site to safeguard the home from future water-related damage.
Sean was connected to Rebuilding Together through a fellow veteran who had previously benefited from the organization. Inspired by this, he applied to the program and was honored to be selected as the first individual to receive this crucial support. Expressing his gratitude, Sean remarked, "Having this new gutter system will be life-changing for my family. Knowing our home will be safe and secure means everything to us."
A Vision for Impact
Danny Horboychuk, Brand President of The Brothers That Just Do Gutters, highlighted the core of this initiative: providing durable and effective solutions to protect homes. "Homeowners commonly invest in subpar gutter systems that fail under pressure. Our initiative is aimed at offering long-term protection, particularly to those who have sacrificed so much for our country," he explained.
The seamless gutters are considered the cornerstone of the 'Gutters for Good' program. They are customized on-site, ensuring maximum durability and eliminating the leaks often found in traditional sectional systems. Crafted from high-quality materials, these gutter systems promise lasting effectiveness and contribute to the integrity of the homes they protect.
