Join the Creative Team for Teens'Tokyo
Tokyo is paving the way for a vibrant new platform targeted at middle and high school students—
Teens’Tokyo. Launched in March this year, this innovative website aims to empower youth by engaging them in civic awareness and interests about their city. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government invites students to participate in its development, with an emphasis on fresh ideas and diverse content.
About the Teens’Tokyo Website
Designed to captivate a younger audience, the Teens’Tokyo site features several engaging components:
1.
AI English Conversation Content: Students can practice English by conversing with an AI that guides them through the city’s landmarks. This unique tool is crafted to enhance language skills while simultaneously fostering a sense of local pride.
2.
Community Reporting: Emphasizing peer perspectives, the site includes articles written by students themselves. The teens have already produced
20 articles about various city-related facilities and initiatives, bringing a youthful angle to local news.
Creating the Future of Teens’Tokyo
In this ongoing initiative, the Tokyo government is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the
Teens’Tokyo production team. Here are some key details:

Civic Engagement for Future Generations
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Tokyo called
‘2050 Tokyo Strategy’, which aims to embed children's perspectives in public policies. By fostering creativity and encouraging young students to voice their opinions and experiences, the government hopes to nurture a generation that is not only aware of but actively participates in their city’s governance. The Teens’Tokyo website stands as a vital tool for achieving this goal.
For those interested in making a difference in their community and honing their skills in a fun and supportive environment,
Teens’Tokyo promises to be an exciting opportunity.
