National Say It Now Day: A Celebration of Gratitude Uniting Communities Nationwide

National Say It Now Day: A Day of Gratitude

On December 18, 2024, the Say It Now movement celebrated a significant milestone in honor of National Say It Now Day. This nationwide event emphasizes the transformational power of expressing gratitude and connecting communities through heartfelt messages. The initiative aims to inspire individuals across the country to take a moment and express appreciation to those who matter most in their lives.

The central event occurred at La Jolla Country Day School in California, where a lively gathering of supporters, prominent speakers, and performers came together for a memorable celebration of gratitude. The lineup featured Walter Green, the inspiring founder of the Say It Now movement, Olympic skateboarder Amelia Brodka, talented dancer and actor Merrick Hanna, and award-winning journalist Jared Aarons. Each guest shared touching stories and messages, highlighting the significance of expressing gratitude and how it strengthens relationships within communities.

Walter Green proclaimed, "Through National Say It Now Day, we witnessed the incredible power of gratitude in action. The heartfelt moments shared remind us that expressing gratitude is not just an act—it's a way to transform lives and strengthen connections. Say It Now is all about making every moment count, and seeing this movement come to life fills me with hope for our future."

Adding to the excitement of the day, the Say It Now movement was featured on a Times Square Billboard—an extraordinary feat that introduced the powerful message of gratitude to millions of people in one of the world’s most iconic locations.

The #JustSayItNow campaign encourages participants to share their sentiments of appreciation through letters, videos, and personal conversations. To date, this initiative has resulted in over six million expressions of gratitude, with a goal of reaching ten million by the end of 2024. Participants using the hashtag #JustSayItNow and tagging @sayitnowmovement have shown how simple acts of acknowledgment can create positive waves of connection, transcending borders and cultures.

The success of the Say It Now movement reinforces the concept that gratitude can forge stronger relationships and tightly-knit communities. As National Say It Now Day concludes, the spirit of "saying it now" will continue to resonate with participants, inspiring them to carry this message forward in their daily lives.
