Dynam Japan Holdings' Interim Financial Results for FY2026
Dynam Japan Holdings, based in Arakawa, Tokyo, held a press conference to announce its interim consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026. The company has reported substantial growth in profitability despite a slight decrease in revenue when compared to the previous year.
For the first half of FY2026, the company recorded operational revenue of 61,718 million yen, representing approximately 96.8% of the amount from the same period last year. Nonetheless, operating profit saw an increase of 114.4%, climbing to 6,913 million yen. Additionally, net income for the interim period was 3,071 million yen, marking a significant rise of 140.2% year-on-year.
In the pachinko hall segment, the overall gaming population showed a small increase year-on-year, while the number of pachinko halls has continued to decline, especially among small and medium-sized venues. This reflects a trend towards consolidation, where both national chains and regional leaders are further dominating the market. Since the introduction of smart slot machines in November 2022, there has been a continuous uptick in both the participation and revenue associated with slot gaming. In response, Dynam Japan has been strategically reducing the number of pachinko machines and increasing the deployment of slot machines, completing renovations at 78 locations during this interim period to enhance its competitive edge.
Dynam Japan is also proactively investing in energy-efficient facilities like air conditioning systems to reduce electricity consumption and manage operational costs effectively. By the end of this interim period, the number of operated pachinko halls totaled 423, reflecting one new opening and the closure of five venues.
In addition, the company's aircraft leasing business continues to thrive, with strong demand for leasing services. There has been a notable increase in the need for engine leasing, attributed to rising costs associated with engines and delays in maintenance. Dynam Japan is committed to investing in engine leasing while continuing to expand its portfolio of next-generation narrow-body aircraft leases and services like procurement, management, and remarketing.
Regarding shareholder returns, the company declared an interim dividend of 2.50 yen per share.
