Join Us for Charity Events Focused on Global Humanitarian Aid this Winter!

As we navigate a challenging world, it's essential to shift our gaze to our fellow human beings. Terra Renaissance, an accredited NPO based in Kyoto, Japan, is launching a series of four charity events aimed at providing support to individuals affected by conflicts across Ukraine, Cambodia, Laos, and Uganda. This initiative is part of our winter fundraising campaign, intending to shed light on the pressing needs of those currently suffering from crises while fostering an environment for direct engagement through a Q&A segment with overseas representatives.

The Context of These Events

Every small action counts. In light of ongoing struggles such as the Ukraine war and the insurgency by the LRA in Uganda, more individuals find themselves in dire need of assistance. Many of us become aware of the pain and hardships faced by others displayed on screens, sparking a desire to help. Yet, an internal dialogue often tells us, “What can one person do?”

Our upcoming events aim to illustrate not just the urgent issues at hand but also how people are rallying support through Terra Renaissance. Our overseas representatives, who are deeply engaged in these regions, will share candid narratives about their observations, daily challenges, and the flickers of hope they encounter in their work.

The message is clear: a collective effort—whether it's 100 individuals or 1,000—can foster significant change. By understanding what is genuinely needed on the ground, attendees can take that first important step towards collective action.

Event Details

Our overseas representatives will share insights from the frontlines in Ukraine, Cambodia, Laos, and Uganda. This will not merely be a report on activities; it’s a window into the realities these dedicated individuals face, including the struggles and aspirations driving their work. Participants can expect first-hand accounts filled with raw honesty about their experiences, successes, and difficulties.

About Terra Renaissance

Founded in October 2001 by Masaya Onimar, Terra Renaissance is an accredited NPO dedicated to creating a society where all life can live in safety. Our work spans not only landmine and unexploded ordnance clearance in Cambodia and Laos but also the reintegration support for former child soldiers in Uganda, Congo, and Burundi. In Japan, we conduct peace education programs. We’ve recently extended our support to refugees in Hungary and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of active involvement in crisis situations.
