Explore the Wonders of Ancient Peru at the 'CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition'

The CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition: A Journey Through Ancient Peru

The 'CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition' is set to open its doors from November 22, 2025, to March 1, 2026, at the Mori Art Center Gallery, located on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. This remarkable exhibition showcases more than 130 genuine treasures, officially recognized by the Peruvian government, providing an extraordinary glimpse into the cultural heritage of Peru.

On November 19, 2025, a grand opening ceremony took place at the Mori Art Center Gallery. The event featured comedian Kazlaser, a member of the popular comedy duo Maple Chogokin, serving as the exhibition's official navigator. Dressed in his signature bright red outfit, Kazlaser expressed his enthusiasm for exhibitions and shared insights into his unique approach to experiencing art. He emphasized the importance of visiting exhibitions, stating, "It’s not just about what you know. If it looks intriguing, you should go!" His promotion of lowering the barriers to entry for visitors encourages people to immerse themselves in the experience, leading to newfound knowledge and enjoyment.

Discussing the allure of Machu Picchu, Kazlaser remarked, "It's one of the places said to be the farthest from Japan. The cultural background is entirely different, and it has been forgotten for centuries, leaving much mystery to explore. That's where analysis and imagination come into play!" He particularly highlighted the intricate stone masonry used in Machu Picchu's construction, pondering what other techniques might have been lost to time. He encouraged visitors to go to the exhibition, suggesting they might discover similarities between themselves and the distant culture.

Kazlaser pointed out one of his favorite displays, situated near the entrance: a sculpture representing mythological creatures, commonly referred to as the 'Andes Dragon.' He described it as having cat-like, snake-like, and dragon-like qualities, stating, "It's fascinating enough that you could spend a lot of time just contemplating its unusual shape." The venue also features beautifully crafted replicas of this exhibit, priced at ¥120,000, which drew laughs from attendees when Kazlaser joked about buying multiple for his family.

As the opening ceremony concluded, Kazlaser shared a special message for future attendees: "I suggest taking a moment to wonder, 'What could this be?' before listening to the audio guide or reading the explanations. Doing so will reveal surprising answers and stories behind each artifact, enhancing appreciation for these historical treasures." He added, "Plus, saying you visited the Machu Picchu exhibition is undeniably cool, so I encourage everyone to check it out!"

The event's opening speech was delivered by Wichai-ons, President and CEO of NEON JAPAN. He stated, "NEON JAPAN was established with the mission of delivering immersive experiences through globally recognized content to people across Japan. We've seen fantastic success with the current Ramses Exhibition, which has surpassed 350,000 visitors and extended its run until January 4, 2026. Our second exhibition, backed by the Peruvian government, showcases all authentic treasures. We invite you to feel the passion we’ve poured into this genuine experience."

What to Expect at the Exhibition

The 'CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition' is an international showcase that has already attracted over 540,000 visitors since its debut in the United States in 2021. It will be the first exhibition of its kind in Asia and will include highlights such as golden ornaments from royal tombs and ceremonial tools used in temples, making their international debut at this event. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to experience the wisdom and artistry of the ancient Andean civilization up close.

In addition to presenting these precious cultural artifacts, the exhibition creates an immersive environment that features cutting-edge technology to recreate the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu.
