The much-anticipated beer terrace 'Sekirei' at the Meiji Memorial Pavilion in Minato, Tokyo, will open its doors from June 2 to September 12, 2025, exclusively on weekdays. Nestled within a stunning 1,000-tatami mat garden, guests can enjoy meals and drinks amidst flickering bonfires, creating a magical summer atmosphere.

Venue Details


The Meiji Memorial Pavilion, located at 2-2-23 Motoakasaka, Minato, has a rich history as the first official guest house in Japan during the Meiji era. Recognized as a Tokyo-designated tangible cultural property, the pavilion has maintained its historical ambiance while offering an elegant dining experience.

The garden is expertly maintained by dedicated gardeners, ensuring a picturesque backdrop for your culinary adventure. Indoor seating is also available for those who seek comfort during their visit.

Menu Highlights


The culinary team, comprised of chefs specializing in Western, Japanese, and dessert cuisine, has carefully crafted an extensive menu featuring a variety of dishes:
  • - Cobb Salad - ¥3,500
  • - Assorted Delicacies (including Hamo, Shiba Shrimp, and Yodare Chicken) - ¥3,200
  • - Roast Beef (Japanese Sirloin) - ¥5,000

In addition to the delectable food options, the drink menu is equally impressive, featuring a selection of draft beers starting at ¥1,300, wines (glass from ¥1,200; bottle from ¥6,000), whiskeys (from ¥1,000), and the signature original cocktail, 'Sekirei 2025,' priced at ¥1,400. All prices are inclusive of tax and service fees.

This year, Sekirei is excited to announce a collaboration with FANCL, a company dedicated to beauty and health. The collaboration will feature nutritious yet delicious dishes that align with health-conscious dining. Notable items include:

The terrace will welcome guests from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and reservations are open from May 1. Guests can reserve online or by phone. Note that the terrace operates only on weekdays, and may be closed for private events or due to inclement weather. The venue can accommodate a total of 307 guests with seating options in the garden and indoors.

About Meiji Memorial Pavilion


Originally constructed in 1881, the Meiji Memorial Pavilion was established as the 'Akasaka Temporary Imperial Palace's Dining Hall.' Renowned for hosting important meetings, including discussions about the draft of the Constitution of the Empire of Japan, the pavilion is steeped in history. It has celebrated over 210,000 weddings since its inauguration as an event venue in 1947.

With its captivating interiors and tranquil gardens, it serves as a perfect venue for celebrations, parties, and MICE activities, all while providing an exquisite dining experience.
