Comcast Unveils Iconic Peanut Sculptures in Dothan



On October 8, 2025, Comcast held an exciting event in Dothan, Alabama, to introduce two delightful peanut sculptures as part of the city's renowned public art initiative, "Peanuts Around Town." This project not only honors Dothan's agricultural legacy but also reinforces community spirit and artistic expression. The sculptures unveiled at the Xfinity Store on South Oates Street feature one peanut paying tribute to Xfinity's services and another highlighting Comcast Business. These sculptures stand amongst more than 100 others across the city, celebrating Dothan's most beloved crop.

The unveiling event was hosted by WOOF FM's News Director, Deborah Pearson, and drew in local officials and community organizations, showcasing the pride and unity within Dothan. One of the most touching moments of the event was when Comcast presented a $10,000 check to the Alfred Saliba Family Services Center, aimed at bolstering its digital skills program. This initiative is crucial for enhancing workforce development throughout the Wiregrass region.

Jeff Buzzelli, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Florida Region, remarked, "These sculptures are more than just art pieces; they're a reflection of our commitment to the people of Dothan and Houston County." He stressed that Comcast strives to keep communities well-connected through its reliable, high-speed internet and meaningful local engagements.
